Grant Information

  • The 2024 Small Business Grant Award Program will provide awards of up to $20,000 to eligible small businesses in Huron & Sanilac Counties to support their growth and development.

  • Most grant awards will be in the $5,000 to $10,000 range.

  • Competitive grant program. Grants awarded to the highest scoring applications in each county. ($213,158 max total funding in 2024)

  • Company must be located, or the company’s owner must reside in Huron or Sanilac County. (See full list of eligibility requirements listed on grant application)

 

Eligible Uses of Grant Awards

  • Purchase of equipment, furniture and fixtures, inventory, software and/or hardware, up to $4,999 per unit.

  • Highly specialized consulting (some exclusions).

  • Certification or licensing fees/training leading to specific industry certification for employees.
