Mini Grants & Professional Development Grants
The Minigrant program is a partnership between the Michigan Arts & Cultural Council (MACC) and 15 regional regranting agencies throughout the state. There are two components of the Minigrant program, Arts Projects and Professional Development grants. These are special opportunities to address local arts and cultural needs as well as increasing public access to arts and culture. Arts Projects Minigrants provide up to $4,000 for locally developed, high quality arts and cultural projects. Professional Development Minigrants provide up to $1,500 to assist nonprofit organizations, art teachers, and arts professional acquire services or skills to strengthen the administrative infrastructure of the organization.
To Be Eligible - Applicants are limited to registered non-profit organizations, schools, and municipalities, located in the State of Michigan. Our region covers - Huron, Sanilac, St. Clair and Tuscola Counties. Federal and State agencies are NOT eligible to apply. Applicants with unmet obligations on prior grants - may not apply. Deadline for next year's mini grant cycle is August 3, 2023 for Round 1 and if there is a Round 2 deadline is January 15, 2024 for minigrant projects October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024. School Bus & Arts Grants Available
There will also be bus & arts grants available to schools for: $1,500 available for school grants to pay for arts equipment (including repairs of arts equipment) or supplies being used within the classroom/school setting and up to $500 for Michigan K-12 schools for the transportation cost or an arts or culture related field trip.
