October - Halloween Events

Looking for some spectacular spooky things to do in Huron County this month, we have the list for you!

 

October 8

Visit the last Farmers Market in Harbor Beach, located at the Frank Murphy Museum Grounds from Noon - 5 p.m. Be sure to stock your front porch with those last minute pumpkins.

October 8-10

Halloween Camping Weekend at North Park, Harbor Beach. Bring those kiddos for some early trick or treating. Halloween related activities, camping and trick or treating. Contest, hands-on nature display, hayrides, concessions by Lions Club.

Harvest Festival Weekend at Sleeper State Park, Caseville (For Campers Only) - Halloween related activities, camping, trick or treat, hay rides, etc.

Flannel Fest is back at Bird Creek Farms, 282 Grindstone Rd., Port Austin. Get your flannel on and get to Bird Creek Farms October 8th - 10th! More info coming soon! Live Music, Tap Takeover, Cornhole Tournament

October 9

Come jam to the tunes at DJ In the Park Saturday Night at North Park Campground. Event runs from 7-10 p.m. in the Pavilion.

If you haven’t made it to the Port Austin Farmer’s Market yet this year, be sure to visit, this is the last one! Runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., downtown Port Austin. They will have veggies, fruits, pumpkins and lots of arts and craft vendors. Reminder leave your doggie at home, pets are not allowed this year.

Ever wondered what Mushrooms you can eat or cook, join them at the Fall Mushroom Workshop at Huron County Nature Center starting at 10:30 a.m. for the information on Mushrooms.

October 23

The leaves are changing and the air is a tad more brisk...so you know it’s almost time for the annual Port Austin Pumpkin Palooza. 2021 will prove to be our best yet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Laser tag * Hungry Hippo * Soccer Dart Challenge*, Inflatables to name a few, and don’t forget Port Austin Market’s own homemade donuts and cider! Only $5 to join the fun. Keep your afternoon open to continue the thrills at Gallop Park for the Pumpkin Roll entertainment too!

October 30

Please join them for their First Annual Downtown Caseville Witch Walk!

Merchants and Restaurants will be open and offering up treats, special deals, and a whole lot of hocus-pocus fun! It's a full day of shopping with a Witch Walk at the end. Get your witch on and come stay for a spell. We are excited to see all of your amazing costumes! Merchants will be open beginning at 10am and will have extended hours for the day. (hours vary by merchant)

The actual "Walk" will begin at 6pm in the parking lot just next to the Independent Bank on Main Street. Don't forget to bring your broom!
