Huron County is home to a wide variety of agriculture and crafts. One of the best ways to experience this is at a local farmer’s market. Currently, Huron County has three regular farmer’s markets that typically operate May through October.
Harbor Beach Farmer’s Market
The Harbor Beach Farmer’s Market is attractive not only because of the great goods one can find but also because of its beautiful setting. This weekly farmer’s market is located on a piece of property that is ripe with history and only a mere block away from Lake Huron. While browsing the vendor’s many goods and trinkets you can enjoy a wonderful view of the lighthouse and beach. The Harbor Beach Farmer’s Market is located at the museum which was once the home of Frank Murphy, who served on the U.S. Supreme Court in 1940 after a political career as Governor of Michigan and Mayor of Detroit. At the Harbor Beach Farmer’s Market, you can find vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, various crafts, woodworking, plants and flowers, and more.
The Harbor Beach Farmer’s Market is every Friday from May 19th to October 6th running from 2pm to 7pm, located on the Murphy Museum lawn on M-25.
Special Market Days:
Attend the Harbor Beach Farmer’s Market on June 16th, July 21st, and August 18th for drawings and other fun surprises for kids and adults.

Pigeon Farmer’s Market
Another farmer’s market worth checking out is the Pigeon Farmer’s Market. Located in the Farmer’s Market Building between the Village Hall and the Pigeon Historical Museum, you can browse handcrafted goods and locally grown produce. The Farmer’s Market Building was first constructed as a pavilion in 1997 and later modified to an enclosed building in 2008. In addition to providing protection from inclement weather, the new building is handicap accessible and provides public restrooms. Typically, the building can fit 15 vendors comfortably, with availability for vendors to set up in the parking lot area as well. After browsing and shopping the various goods being sold, head on over to the Pigeon Historical Museum to learn about the unique history of Pigeon and see what life was like 50, 75, and even 100 years ago. The Pigeon Historical museum is open from 10am to 3pm on Fridays.
The Pigeon Farmer’s Market is every Friday, May through October from 9 am to 4 pm and is located in the Farmer’s Market Building located right in between the Village Hall and the Pigeon Historical Museum right off of Main street in downtown Pigeon.
