I have been a resident of Harbor Beach since 2002 and have family in the Port Hope and Forestville areas. My children were just 2 and 3 when my wife Elizabeth and I moved here to work with Dow AgroSciences. My children graduated from Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic School and now attend Harbor Beach High School. We truly appreciate the small town living that Huron County has offered us. My professional work at DAS is not just a job, not just a career, but has become our home. My colleagues at DAS and in Huron County are family, which drives my commitment to the economic development of Huron County.
I am Joseph Murphy, Superintendent at the Huron Intermediate School District. We have great schools in Huron County and all schools in our county will continue to work together to provide great learning opportunities for all students. This is directly related to the economic activity in our county. I grew up in Huron County and currently live in Harbor Beach with my wife Karen.
As a fourth generation Huron County native and resident from the Port Austin area, I work as a CPA in the communications industry. No stranger to change in telecommunications, just think about the evolution of your cell phone over the last 20 years. We have moved from bag phone to flip to smart phone in a very short span of time. I am glad to bring this communications perspective to the economic development interests in Huron County . I also serve on the Huron County Planning Commission.

Retired after 40 years as a Utility CEO and Engineer and Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan, I am now active as a Michigan Certified Personal Property Examiner.
I am a lifelong resident of Huron County, growing up in Elkton and graduating from Laker High School. I furthered my education with an Associates Degree from CS Mott CC and a Bachelors Degree from Saginaw Valley State University. I have served on numerous local and state boards over the years and am currently active with the Huron County EDC, the Huron ISD Board of Directors and a member of the Bad Axe Rotary.
Economic Development is crucial to all the residents of Huron County, assuring needed up to date infrastructure is critical to attracting jobs and improving educational opportunities for all. I bring expertise in developing sound infrastructure that will benefit economic growth. The recent surge in wind development is an example of a once in a lifetime opportunity that we have in Huron County, but it requires our fullest attention to assure that economic benefits are maximized.
I am President of BAMP Marketing & Consulting Inc , a dry bean marketing company located in Sebewaing, MI. We work directly with local dry bean farmers from the Thumb and surrounding areas. I bring to the Economic Development Board, an expertise in the agribusiness field and I help to represent the West side of the County. I really enjoy working with a very diverse group of individuals on the EDC board along with a great Executive Director and staff. We are continually challenged with growing and promoting the many wonderful aspects that Huron County has to offer, not only to our local residents but to the many visitors who travel to the Thumb area. I look forward to serving on this board and welcome your ideas to promote the valuable assets of Huron County.
Born and raised in Huron County, I make my home in Ubly with my husband and two children. I am the President and Chairman of the Board of Gemini Group which owns and operates several manufacturing facilities in the area. I am also a board member for Northstar Bank which has multiple locations throughout the Thumb. I will use my business expertise to help further the economic development of Huron County.
I am a lifelong resident of Harbor Beach and am glad to call this home. I enjoy coaching football and basketball for the Harbor Beach Pirates. It is great to see my kids and grandchildren make their roots here as well.
I have a strong interest in the economic viability of our local and regional community. As the City Director and Parks & Recreation Director in Harbor Beach, I appreciate community spirit and initiative that has helped grow our community and bring placemaking to the forefront. As my role as Huron County Commissioner, District 6, I represent five townships and the City of Harbor Beach and am chair of the Finance Committee for the County of Huron.
I was born and have lived my whole life in Caseville, MI. My brother and I were in the wholesale petroleum business as well as convenience stores, car washes, Subways and residential fuel oil delivery in the area. In 1998 we sold the business and then developed some property in Caseville and built condos and single family homes.
I have enjoyed working with the EDC board on promoting Huron County and trying ways to find jobs for our graduating students to keep them in the area.
My name is Debbie Cunningham, President of Northstar Bank. I have been a resident of Elkton for most of my life, and thoroughly enjoy all aspects of small town living. I have over 20 years of community banking experience and strive to make Huron County a better place by volunteering at many different community events and organizations. As an active board member of the Huron County EDC, I add strength from a financial business perspective.

A Huron County native that spent 20 years in Atlanta, Georgia. I am passionate about seniors; as the Executive Director of an assisted living in Georgia I realized the need in Port Austin and moved back to my hometown which I love. I own the newly opened Questover Assisted Living in Port Austin and am a partner owner with family members of the Beachcomber Motel also in Port Austin. As an active board member my goal is to help Huron County thrive.

Since 1980, I have been part of the Active Feed Company's operations, which include Farm Crest Foods and Huron Gas LLC. A lifetime resident of Huron County. Currently representing Huron County in the private sector, on the regional GST MI Works Thumb Board. Being able to serve on the EDC board allows me an opportunity to share in the potential growth and economic development throughout Huron County.
